On a cold day in 1907, Wilfred Knowles opened his rooming house to a homeless orphan boy who needed a safe place to stay. Over the next century, Knowles Centre has helped thousands of other young boys and girls and their families who were facing difficult times to find a better path in life.

Most former students and clients remember Knowles Centre as a safe, accepting place where they could feel at home. Their experiences, memories and friendships created at Knowles Centre will forever be an important part of their lives.

It is the sincerest hope of Knowles Centre that the caring support we provided to each person who came through our doors gave him or her greater capacity to meet the world.

We are fortunate that so many people in the community also share our commitment to the young people at Knowles Centre. With the support of caring donors and volunteers we are able to enhance the services we provide.

Knowles Centre welcomes all past clients and students and our friends in the community to be in touch with us. Let us know how you are doing and what is new in your life. We would be pleased to keep you up to date on the activities at Knowles Centre, too.
